Longevity & Take Down

temporary styles

Temporary Dreadlocks can generally be kept in for 6-8weeks, however this will depend on your hair type & how quickly your hair grows.
The longer you keep your locs in, the more your loose hair will grow at the root.
The more loose hair at the root, higher chance of your hair naturally starting to dread at the root
=harder to brush out when you take down.

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP MY BRAID-IN TEMPORARY STYLE INSTALLED?

HOW DO I TAKE OUT MY TEMPORARY STYLE?

For a video on how to take your Temporary Dreadlocks out, click here.
After you take down your temporary style, you may notice quite a bit of your natural hair coming out with the locs, don’t be alarmed here - you're not loosing hair & its not falling out.
This is just all the hair that would have naturally shed in a 6-8week period coming out all at once - it has been wrapped in a braid & unable to fall prior to take down.
Once you take your Temporary look out, it is recommended you give your scalp at least a week or two to breathe before re-installing
